Modern Manufacturing Technologies
Modern Manufacturing Technologies for the Highest Quality
Modern manufacturing processes are the foundation for durable and precisely manufactured cases and bags. By using innovative technologies and high quality standards, we create products that combine functionality, precision and reliability. This enables ROX to ensure consistently high product quality and customised solutions for a wide range of requirements.
Vakuumthermoformen/Kunststoff-Tiefziehen
We offer single- and twin-sheet vacuum thermoforming for the cost-effective production of small batches, large-volume components and customised plastic solutions.
The twin-sheet technology is particularly suitable for complex components.
The double-wall process enables the combination of different thermoplastic sheets. This allows inner and outer shells with different contours to be produced and directly joined together. The result is stable moulded parts with excellent impact-absorbing properties as well as double-walled hollow-body solutions.
On request, ROX can also take care of tooling procurement and the rapid production of tools for your projects.
Plastic sheets with dimensions of up to 2000 × 1300 mm can be processed. Draw depths of up to 650 mm are possible in the single-sheet process and up to 620 mm in the twin-sheet process. LDPE can also be processed.
ROX supports companies with customised solutions in the field of plastic thermoforming. The range extends from small batches to large-volume production parts with specific surfaces and complex geometries.
If your company has exceeded a certain level of turnover...
Depending on the requirements, either the single-sheet or twin-sheet process is used. This allows both single-wall moulded parts and stable, double-walled hollow bodies to be produced economically and precisely.
ROX reliably supports the entire manufacturing process – from tool development through to the finished implementation – on schedule and to a high standard. Customised shapes, textured surfaces and the integration of technical components enable tailored solutions for a wide range of applications and industries.
Plastic thermoforming offers a flexible and cost-effective way of manufacturing high-quality production parts with a high degree of precision and a wide range of design options.
At its site in Hofstetten near Landsberg am Lech, ROX combines many years of experience with modern manufacturing technology and personal consultation.
With the flexible technologies of the single-sheet and twin-sheet processes, ROX offers a cost-effective solution for manufacturing customised plastic components – from small batches to large-volume production solutions.
While the single-sheet process is particularly suitable for single-wall moulded parts, the twin-sheet process enables the production of stable, double-walled components with complex geometries and impact-absorbing properties. Different thermoplastic sheets can be precisely combined and permanently welded together.
Modern manufacturing processes enable customised solutions with a wide range of design options – from textured surfaces and embossed symbols to the integration of technical components such as threaded inserts or metal parts.
The key advantages of plastic thermoforming include:
- flexible shaping of customised components
- precise surface and structural design
- high stability with low weight.
- cost-effective production, including small batches.
- the realisation of complex hollow bodies and geometries.
From tool development through to final implementation, ROX supports the entire manufacturing process flexibly, reliably and on schedule.
Product Examples
Waterjet Cutting
The precise cutting of a wide range of materials without heat-affected zones, deformation or material changes is possible. It enables clean, virtually burr-free cutting edges with high precision and minimal material stress.
Both pure waterjet and abrasive waterjet technology are available.
Pure waterjet technology enables soft materials to be precisely cut at pressures of up to 3,800 bar. For hard materials, the abrasive cutting process is used, in which fine natural sand is added to the waterjet.
The CAD-controlled system processes formats of up to 4,000 × 2,050 mm and achieves – depending on the material – cutting depths of up to 250 mm with an accuracy of ±0.1 mm.
Waterjet cutting is suitable for both technical components and customised contours, emblems, lettering or logos.
Materials that can be processed:
ROX processes, among others, the following materials:
